Fantasy Life i: The Girl who Steals Time, a Grand Successor To a Beloved 3DS Title!

Level5 is no stranger to making fun, quirky and loving games. Yet, it’s the return to Fantasy Life that has had many fans clamoring with excitement, ourself included! The original, which was released back on the Nintendo 3DS saw a quick establishment of a loyal base of fans. It’s interconnected classes, or lives in universe, gave players an ability to craft, fight and make to their hearts content. All the while getting to decorating their very own house! Now, after an online release and a few more years of waiting, we finally have a brand new entry!

While I won’t give away too much (please look forward to our upcoming review!) I can say that this second entry breathes so much new life into the series! With two new lives to enjoy, those being artist and farmer, your adventures through the kingdom of Mysteria will be full of gear to make and monsters to slay! Akin to other RPGs, you will be on the grind to get the best gear and make the most powerful potions! However the story here is an intriguing one full of twists and punny situations! Will you be able to unravel the mysteries of the present while dealing with issues of the past? Only you can find out within Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time!

As of this article a new patch, version 1.40 was released adding higher resolution on docked mode and a whole bunch of improvements and new items!

Fast Fusion is a Competent Racer That SHINES on Nintendo Switch 2!

If you wanted proof of just how stunning of a game you can render out on the Nintendo Switch 2, look no further than this one! Fast Fusion is apart of a larger series of racers by developer Shin’en Multimedia, with Fast Fusion being the cream of their crop! Showcasing not only what the Switch 2 is capable of, this wipeout inspired series is stunningly fun! Being a racer focused on speed to core of this game entails you to compete in the Grand Prix mode to become the top dog. Where Fusion’s gimmick comes into play is your ability to fuse together the library of unlock able racing crafts into new and unique combinations! This unlocks your potential to create the perfect racing machine. Outside of the Grand Prix you of course have the usual ring of features.

From time trials to multiplayer options, Fast Fusion is what one would expect from a racer of this caliber. However that would be true were it not for the array of graphical options at your disposal! Showcasing what the Switch 2 is capable of, this game can see 1440p at 60, with crisp textures in handheld or docked. You can even bump it up to a full 4K with upscaling when docked to achieve that perfect 60fps racing goodness!

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is Turning Heads and That’s Pretty Preem!

When the Switch 2 was first announced, Cyberpunk 2077 being a launch title was NOT on our bingo sheet. Having a notorious launch on base PS4 and Xbox One, the game was in a bad and horrid state. After the first successful patch coinciding with the Anime Edgerunners and then culminating in patch 2.0 with the release of Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunks potential was finally realized. However not without concessions to the PS4 and Xbox One line up of systems, having missed out on the large expansion due to their inability to run it. Fast forward to 2025 and now, we have the entire package, running enjoyably on a Nintendo Switch 2. An aspect that entirely boggles the mind! For many, this may very well be their first step into Night City and what a step it is! Being an RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 puts the players in control of V, their very own persona within the seedy world of Cyberpunk. With a background choice of Corpo, Streetkid or Nomad giving flavor to your gameplay experience, you will navigate the huge city and discover what it means to live life on your own terms.

With the sprawling base game seeing you in the core of Night City, Phantom Libery will introduce players to the other players within the games universe, specifically the President of the New United States of America (NUSA) as they navigate a web of espionage and secrecy. This DLC takes place in the sealed off Dogtown, which is a micro city in of itself. Which in the spectrum of things runs impressively well on this hybrid device. Is Cyberpunk 2077 going to be the smoothest experience on Switch 2? No, especially with Dogtown. However is it running more impressively over the original PS4 and Xbox One versions? Yes, it is by a landslide. With the system still in its early days, I am curious to see what CDPR is capable of pushing out for performance improvements and other such applications. It honestly makes for such a great piece in your Switch 2 library and an amazing talking point.

The Banner Saga Trilogy is an Under-appreciated Gem That is Impactful and fun!

A game series that means so much to me, having been the first game I ever helped Kickstart and the very first big review code we ever received, The Banner Saga is a masterpiece in storytelling. The game follows a land where the Sun has become stuck in time, where the unknown Dredge have returned to the world, ushering in events that mirror Ragnarok. Players will be able to choose from Rook or Alette as their central character in the story and as they progress, choices will be made that affect not only events in the first game, but events from the next two entries. The game outside of the narrative plays like Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem, where the characters you control move along grid and can unleashed powerful attacks or abilities. The game series does also feature permadeath as characters who suffer death on the field may very well perish entirely, thus robbing you of a potential ally that could help you later on.

Over the course of these three games you will fall in love with these characters and their plight. You will cry, you may very well feel anger, but all this is fed by the excellent work of Austin Wintory. A composer whose work also includes games like, Journey, the score is powerful, emotional and dramatic. You will find yourself listening to the somber, Norse melodies and the adrenaline pumping battle music. Each element adding to this art piece of a game as the music and story weave a banner of struggle to defy fate.
