With Summer in the swing of things and the cicadas singing away, we often find ourselves drawn into deep anime consumption! But with so much to see, what is worth checking out?! I have three shows I think you should definitely add to your watch list for the 2025 Summer season! While these will be a mix of currently streaming and having finished streaming, I think they can offer a little bit for everyone!

I can say that all of the mentioned shows are available on Crunchyroll in North America! So, if you are interested in these shows, be sure to check with your local streaming provider to see if these also are on your platform of choice!

My Dress Up Darling Season 2 Returns with more glitz, glam and gushing love!

With season 2 currently 5 episodes deep, My Dress-up Darling continues to be a delightful treat and an even deeper exploration in the cosplay world that orbits Marin and Gojo. With season 2 developing their relationship on a deeper whole and tackling insecurities, this season is sure to stir some feelings. Especially on the insecurities front! With the last few episodes really tackling how Gojo often feels the world perceives him to be, is anything but the truth!

With the latest episode having been the best written, animated and portrayed one yet, I cannot wait to see where this season goes for adapting the written work! Especially since the manga has officially ended!

Apothecary Diaries may have just wrapped, but it’s still a stellar pick for your summer dive!

If you were itching for a period piece, especially one set within ancient China, then Apothecary Diaries is going to make your summer an intriguing one! With palace politics and romantic deceptions afoot, the show has finally concluded and boy was it ever a great finale! This name follows a curious apothecary named, Mao Mao, as she finds herself whisked away (against her will) to the imperial back palace, a den of intrigue and cunning concubines. Here she will navigate the various layers of deception, solve odd mysteries and thwart the hoping advances of a curious eunuch named Jinshi. While he is anything but an average frog, his background leaves much to wonder about!

With two season to enjoy and some very phenomenal dubbing work, the series is one to add to your list for refreshing summer takes!

I Was Reincarnated As The 7th Prince Continues to Fill our Lives With Service and Epic Battles!

While this was a chance series for my wife and I, we were blown away by the solid animation, the with humor and the ounces of fan-service sprinkled throughout! The story follows a man given a chance at a second life to pursue his one sole passion: the knowledge of all things magic! (I’m sure Frieren would like to have a word with them as well!) While this series has its more serious moments, the show itself is oozing with character and humor.

With a brand new season as well, the show is getting to spread its legs a lot more as it continues off from the stunning and surprisingly heavy end to the first season of the series! Again there is ounces of Fan-Service sprinkled within this show and as such, I might only be able to recommend it for those of you who can stomach it here and there!
