*Updated to include list of currently know Vtubers who have quit Vshojo*

If the news out of yesterday wasn’t already a bombshell, as of today both Amalee (Monarch) and KSon of VShojo JP have announced their contract terminations. KSon even did so after quitting on stream when confronting the JP CEO! Michi has also taken to announce that she also has been owed payments and as a result . Which begs the question of this being a wider issue than just the English branch of VShojo. It seems that from what was shown of Ksons chat that the EN branch of VShojo had been struggling as is.

It is worth noting that KSon was in the process of planning a formal departure from VShojo in late July of this year.

That leaves further speculation that the funds that Ironmouse had previously raised may have been directed to stem the tide of cash loss on the English side. This is of course just speculation as the entire situation is currently developing as we progress into day two of this fallout. As it stands, there seems to be many more that have potentially seen garnished wages and missed pay as a result of the potential mismanagement of funds.

What it doesn’t leave room for is that it is both appalling and shameful with how VShojo has decided to carry itself since September of last year, leaving both fans and talents in the dark.

As of this post these are the vtubers who have already announced their departure: Ironmouse, KSon, Amalee (Monarch), Michi, Kuro, Project Melody and Hime Hajime.

One good glimmer of news that I have is the new charity link that Ironmouse has provided has reached over $350K as of last nights video drop. Below is the video from last night if you haven’t had a chance to watch it. Ironmouse details how they had mismanaged her personal funds, as well as having failed to deliver the $500K owed to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
