With a new year comes new responsibilities, time management and…. Wait who are we kidding! We are totally going to kick off the New Year in style and share it with three amazing games! I totally understand that not everyone will have a game they want to play. Instead, why don’t you read about our top three anime to check out in 2025?

Either way let’s dive right into these games! I will be sure to stress what systems they are available for. So that way you have an idea of where to buy them! My sincerest hope is that someone will be able to discover a new gem! After all there are so many wonderful stories to experience and worlds to change. So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Maid Cafe on Electric Street Will Delight and Surprise!

A more recent release, Maid Cafe on Electric Street is an homage to the popularity of maid cafes; and otaku. A game that has deep quirk and charms, this Steam release is a fun 2D side scroller that has you taking the reins of a dying cafe after escaping your corporate job! Through it all you will recruit a quirky cast, all voiced by amazing Japanese VA’s. Will they help you rise to fame? Will they fuel your heart with love as you attempt to conquer their own hearts?

If you happen to be a Steam Deck owner, then you will find that this is the perfect game to have on the go. The ease at which it can be put down and picked back up is not to be understated!

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Was a Sleeper Hit Last Year!

Do you enjoy games that really push boundaries? Are you fond of games that are works of passion? If so, might I suggest Dragon’s Dogma 2? A Capcom published game set in a high-fantasy setting, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is what the first wanted to be so many years ago. As the game opens with you catapulted into the role of the titular, Arisen, you are exposed to the quirks of this series. That quirk being called, Pawns. These unique characters, made by you and everyone who plays, are dutiful and down right amazing NPCs. They will accompany you throughout your quest along side two others from the community at large.

The game has an advance AI system. It allows your pawns to learn about quests, items, or how to maneuver the world simply by playing with them. The game also features a dense and massive play-space that can take several real world minutes to traverse and explore. Setting you against truly gargantuan foes and hordes of goblin alike. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a game that can be enjoyed on PS5, Xbox and PC.

Xenoblade Chronicles Klaus Trilogy is a Must Play For Any Switch Owner!

With Xenoblade X being one of the last Wii U ports is landing next year. Now is the perfect time to hop into this trilogy! Dubbed as the, “Klaus Trilogy” by fans for its primary focus on the after effects of an experiment gone awry. This three part game series is nothing short of phenomenal. Dealing in concepts of godhood, determining one’s fate or even fighting against the fear of the unknown. Takahashi’s beloved series has given many gamers an experience of a lifetime. For some, it’s even given the an emotional ride so strong, they had to sit our specific chapters for months! It’s me, I was that gamer.

Still, the series is well-known for its tackling of Judeo-Christian ideologies and various elements from the world of psychology. It’s a series that’s not afraid to dig skin deep. On top of it all, there is a solid RPG experience here. This series is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and as such is available on the Nintendo eShop or Online Retailers.
