The Nintendo Switch Games I Currently Have And Why You Need Them Too!

It is that time for the post that chats about what games I own for Nintendo’s Switch and why you need to own them as well! Now of course three of these are obvious titles that most of you may have already played and owned. So let’s cut right to the chase and get those games featured. Last item to note is that all of the games featured will be linked to our Amazon Affiliate Account so you can buy them as is plus help me out some.

First and foremost is Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild. The second Zelda game I have ever beaten and arguably one of the best ones released. This brave new concept of the beloved series is executed in such a way that I feel it just blends naturally. Feeling like Bethesda’s Skyrim had a love child with a Legend of Zelda Game is not too outlandish of a thought. The added benefit of cooking food for stat affects and weather affecting what you need to wear is a refresher. Easily the most owned Switch game due to being the primary incentive for buying the console when it was first released.

The second addition if of course, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Now I understand that racing sims are not everyones cup of tea. This is the one and only title, outside of Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, that I enjoy. It is easy enough to get into and hard enough for the seasoned gamer to rage over. Essentially the Switch version is a complete package release of all DLC plus base game from the original Wii U release.

Third on the list is the ever colorful and great, Splatoon 2. This game was my reason for pursuing a Nintendo Switch and it is the game that made me rethink what a Nintendo shooter could be. It is a fresh take on the over the shoulder style of shooter and adds a unique mechanic into the mix. Forcing the player to focus on ‘inking’ as much territory as they can over just ‘kills’ is something that is dearly needed. I love being able to hop into a game and just have a whale of a time. The added horde mode, ala Salmon Run, is a great addition to anyone wanting a more team-focused mode.

The fourth title I would hotly recommend for the Switch is Rayman Legends Definitive Edition. Now this game has been released on just about every console imaginable and yet, it feels most at home for the Switch. Maybe it is just pure bias, but I love it nevertheless. This colorful and musically inclined Rayman release is as clever as it is random. The colorful levels and the challenging boss fights are enough for any platform-enthusiast. It also maintains a fairly easy learning curve as the formula remains the same throughout the game.

The fifth and final title is Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero Ultimate Edition. Much like the Rayman title above, this entry in the Shantae series is the complete bundled deal and boy is it a nostalgia trip for me. This Ultimate Edition comes packaged with Soundtrack, Art Book, Game with case and a bloody instruction manual; full color. This small addition has rekindled a lost inner joy and the game itself is such a stellar one at that. It is a color-charged, platform that excelled in providing the best gaming experience possible. Its varied levels with hidden rooms and secrets abound have me on a warpath to obtain 100% completion. If you loved the original GameBoy Color release then you will love this newer title.

I finally got my Switch and I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey. I’m thinking about getting Zelda and Rayman and Bayonetta.
