If you haven’t heard about the talented singer Stephanie Yanez then you may want to consider giving her a chance. This young and talented woman is getting ready to launch her very first album in Japan. That’s right an American is releasing an album in Japan while singing in Japanese. It is a feat that I feel has not yet been fully taken advantage of and this has been sending some ripples through the local Anime community across the net. Now she isn’t just a pretty face. She has the lungs to sing and beat to boot; plus her songs are just delightful to listen to. Now not all of her albums on the US iTunes Store are in Japanese. Her Alive EP is in English so you can still enjoy her musical tones in our native tongue; if you prefer Japanese I personally recommend that you check out her Sakura Wonderland EP. Granted musical talent always stems from covers and originality which she has both of, but it’s her tone and way of expressing her words in her songs that strike us most. I’m a sucker for brilliant sounding music and good lyrics luckily Stephanie Yanez brings both to the table.

The album that she is making headway with in Japan is called gaNISOng Stephanie Yanez From U.S.A #1. The song is purchasable in CD format but it will be seeing a global release on a digital format this August 24th and 31st. While the gaNISOng name has been used with over popular cover artists from around the world, this one in particular marks a career best for Stephanie Yanez as it will no doubt bring her to a larger and more global audience. The album will feature at least five songs and here they are…

  1. ムーンライト伝説 Moonlight Densetsu (Sailor Moon)
  2. 裏切りの夕焼け Uragiri No Yuuyake (Durarara)
  3. 遥か彼方 Haruka Kanata (Naruto)
  4. 残酷な天使のテーゼ A Cruel Angel’s Thesis (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
  5. 魂のルフラン Tamashii No Refrain (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

The album itself will set you back 1200¥ (Roughly 11.96USD) if you are thinking about grabbing a physical copy of it. While I would love a physical copy I may just have to settle for a digital version; they are just harder to get autographed… If you are planning on picking this album up or you already have, tell us what you think about it in the comment section down below!
