We Stopped Our Patreon Campaign.

Well, we cancelled our Patreon after two days. Why? Well it made me sick. Not just physically but a bit mentally. I started with the idea that this would be a great idea. Something that would be able to help pay for things that this website desperately needing and to help give the website extra cushion. No, this never had anything to do with me worrying about site money versus my money. This had everything to do with the fact that I felt as if people would support our patreon for all of the wrong reasons. We didn’t feel comfortable with the fact that I do not know if these patrons are just in it for a perk or just wanting to direct the website.

While I appreciate the support for one and the one person that did actually support, I just don’t feel like it was the right choice to make on such short notice, especially after riding a convention high. I don’t want this to take off and then develop into a situation where I ended up regretting it later. So for now, use our affiliate links that are accessible on our website via the right hand column in articles or on the left hand side on the home page. We also still have a PayPal donate button that can be used at any point and time. We appreciate everyone for bearing with us!

    1. Indeed. I rode in on a convention high and I felt I made a bad choice. Not like it was going to change how I operated just didn’t want to lose followers.

  2. Supporting through monetary donations for anything is a particularly tricky and gray area for me. Glad you went with what felt right for you.
